Optimind VS Ultimate Brain and Body by Tapi Labs

Optimind, the self-proclaimed leader in the American nootropics space, became very popular when it started offering trials for a 2 week period for absolutely free. Ultimate Brain & Body by Tapi Labs is a newer entrant in the nootropic space. Both of these supplements are made in FDA-Approved facilities and offer some tangible benefits for mind and body wellness, including primary prevention of deficiencies and diseases.

Bacopa Monnieri, Huperzine-A and Phosphatidylserine are common entities of both nootropic supplement brands, proven to enhance memory and promote quicker verbal recall. GABA is a naturally occurring neurotransmitter found in the brain and is responsible for promoting relaxation and probably enhancing concentration by warding off futile thoughts. Alpha-Lipoic Acid is a welcome addition in the Optimind that promotes well-being of cells.

Price and Value:

A very crude comparison would price a single Optimind capsule – 0.93$ and a single Ultimate Brain & Body capsule(tablet) – 0.59$. Lets dive deeper in what do they offer for that pricing.

Recommended Dietary Allowance:

Micronutrients, as the name implies are substances required in extremely small amounts. Their purpose is to optimize metabolic functions throughout the body. They also improve general wellbeing and accelerate the normal body processes while reducing wear and tear.

We can conclude from the table above that the Ultimate Brain & Body by Tapi Labs provides a complete solution for the wellbeing of both mind and body. Optimind maintains its single-minded focus on the nootropics space with just Vitamin B-12, Vitamin D and Thiamin, giving little vitamin support to the body. The B-Complex of Vitamins which are (exhaustively) represented in the Ultimate Brain & Body are the “Facility Managers” of the nervous system. They are responsible for keeping the nerves healthy and preventing oxidant damage that can induce cancer and inflammation. Furthermore, the presence of fat-soluble vitamins A and D contributes to bone and teeth wellness. Vitamin A is necessary for the maintenance of vision and also improves skin texture and fertility.

Ultimate Brain Body contains the following micronutrients:
– Calcium
– Iron
– Iodine
– Magnesium
– Selenium
– Molybdenum
– Copper
– Boron
– Zinc
– Manganese
– Chromium
– Sodium and Potassium
– Choline
– Inositol
– Lutein
– DNA and RNA

The elements above are trace minerals, meaning they’re required in trace quantities, but that doesn’t mean they are not important. Minerals like calcium and phosphorus are important for maintaining the strength and function of bones. Manganese, selenium and molybdenum are co-factors for various enzymes and participate in various other metabolic activities. Iodine is crucial for the maintenance of the thyroid gland. Almost all of these minerals have their role in the body, some are minor, but some are irreplaceable and with that said we can conclude that the Ultimate Brain & Body bottles have an impressive stack, unlike the Optimind.

Brain & Body also affords the following ingredients with a multitude of benefits:

Citrus Bio complex:
It contains hesperidin, rutin and quercetin all of which enhance collagen synthesis and improve the Vitamin C levels in the blood. This complex is also extremely potent in its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

Digestive Enzyme Blend:
Betaine, bromelain and papain enhance carbohydrate metabolism and absorption, while amylase enhances fat breakdown. The digestive enzyme blend can promote proper absorption of food materials with adequate supply of fiber.

Probiotic Blend:
Containing B. bifidum, L. bulgaricus and L. acidophilus. Probiotics or friendly bacteria have known to enhance the well-being of the gut intrinsically and functionally. Cellulose, the constituent of most plants and veggies cannot be digested by enzymes of our body. However, probiotics like B.Bifidum and others can easily breakdown this complex polypeptide into simpler molecules for quick metabolism and easy excretion. This is known to prevent constipation.

Omega Blend:
Containing the Omega family of fatty acids Omega-3 and Omega-6 enhance the wellbeing of neurons and prevent cognition and memory decline. They improve the heart and lung function as well.

Green and Whole Food Blend:
Containing the oat extract, apple pectin, chlorophyllin, barley grass and spirulina. This blend is very rich in vitamins and minerals. They help with stronger bones and provide antioxidants for better immune system function.

Herb Blend:
The herb blend contains echinacea, ginger, milk thistle, cayenne, Korean ginseng extract, ginkgo biloba extract and goldenseal all of which are known to enhance the body’s metabolic rate and promote the wellbeing of gastrointestinal tract. They also have antibacterial, antiviral and antioxidative properties which help boost the immune system and help the body fight off diseases.

Fruit and Vegetable Blend:
Containing papaya powder, grapefruit extract, apple powder, peach, strawberry, acai, cranberry, blueberry, bilberry extract, pomegranate extract, pineapple, orange and noni powder. Berries are known to have antioxidative properties to them. They can slow down aging and help reduce inflammation throughout the body. These ingrediencies also boost skin texture making it soft and plump.

Mushroom Blend:
Contains: shitake mushrooms, maitake mushrooms and reishi mushrooms. Mushrooms have all sorts of medical properties added to them. They help detoxify the body and can also affect the human brain in various ways. Mushrooms have the ability to boost brain functions which adds up on the nootropic list!

Amino Acids Battle:

Amino acids can be regarded as the building blocks for the structural framework of our body and its various systems. Combinations of amino acids form different proteins, which in return buildup muscle, bone and ligaments. Amino acids can be essential and non-essential.

Huperzine A and DMAE Bitartrate have been studied clinically and were some real promise in promoting verbal recall and retarding age-related dementia problems.

Winner is Ultimate Brain & Body by Tapi Labs!

Although Optimind has some strong nootropics in its formula it features both caffeine and taurine which cause some serious negative side effects! Taurine has been linked to kidney failure if taken in high doses. Caffeine can also cause sleep disorders, jitters, stomach irritations and increased heart rate if taken in high doses which is likely to occur as it’s the main ingredient of coffee and green tea (a lot of us enjoys a cup of coffee every day). Both caffeine and taurine can give you a slight boost of energy, but studies have shown that the boost is often followed by a crash. That’s something to avoid when you want to include a product in your daily diet. Ultimate Brain & Body has a good nootropic stack and features some high-quality nootropics like Ginkgo Biloba, St. Johns’ Wort and Huperzine A. But even though they both feature a good profile of nootropics, the Ultimate Brain & Body leaves Optimind far behind in the vitamins and micronutrient profile race. The “Body” bottle contains almost every micronutrient that our body uses, which the Optimind lacks by having only three micronutrients available in their formula.
When we look at the price, Optimind is the clear winner at first glance with its $30 price. But if we look at it a little deeper, we can see that it contains 32 capsules and that the dose per serving is 2 capsules per day. Which means that it only provides servings for 16 days. To last a full month you would have to buy 2 bottles which makes the price $60, as supposed to $30. Ultimate Brain & Body is pricier with its $89 price, but it’s an all in one product with its rich selection of nootropics, vitamins, minerals and blends. All of that for a $20 price difference. Optimind is a lot easier to implement in your daily diet as supposed to Ultimate Brain & Body which tells us to take 5 capsules a day between each meal, now that’s a lot of commitment. But the good thing is that you can always divide your servings and take only one of each capsule for a day. That way you can prolong your pack and have it for 2 months. In the end, when you look in the long run, it turns out that the Ultimate Brain & Body will cost you LESS than Optimind because it’s more versatile and has a larger number of capsules.

This is our take on this nootropic battle duo, what do you think? What’s more important to you, the ingredient count, what ingredients are in them or the price? It’s up to you to decide. See you in another NOOTROPIC BATTLE!
