Alpha Brain Vs Ultimate Brain and Body by Tapi Labs nootropic batt

Today we’ll talk about an old pro in the nootropic industry which has been around for quite some time, the Mind Lab Pro and a newer contestant that is fairly new in this world, but pack a strong story and a message, the Ultimate Brain & Body. In this article, we’ll compare them in various segments and see how they compete against each other and who will emerge as the winner! Will it be the experienced Mind Lab Pro and their all for one formula as they claim, or the Ultimate Brain & Body with its 90+ ingredients and their #SUPERHUMANFAMILY moto! Let’s begin.

Head to head, both of the supplement brands offer a wide range of nootropic benefits through their time-tested nootropic supplements. Of particular note is the presence of PhosphatidylSerine and Bacopa Monnieri in both supplement brands. Also, the presence of Citicoline in Mind Lab Pro and St. John’s Wort, and Huperzine in Ultimate Brain & Body.

Both supplement brands did a good job providing their customers for a full month fill. Ultimate Brain & Body emerges as the pricier contestant with its 89$ price in this battle.

Battle begins!

Price and Value:

When making a rough comparison of the price for a single capsule, Mind Labs Pro would be – 1.08$ and a single Ultimate Brain & Body capsule(tablet) – 0.59$.

Although the Mind Lab Pro has a lower price point at the start, when you calculate the price for a single capsule it’s almost twice the price of Ultimate Brain & Body’s. Of course both supplements are formulated to last you a full month, this comparison is more of a curiosity and to see how much does the brand value its ingredients. We can see the Mind Lab Pro put a high price of 65$ for its 11 ingredients, which sounds a little expensive considering that the Ultimate Brain & Body priced their 90+ ingredients with a somewhat similar price as the Mind Labs Pro. But the price isn’t everything, lets move on onto the first arena!

Recommended Dietary Allowance:

Micronutrients are required in very small amounts and the amount of each nutrient required by members of each of the sexes, and based on a sedentary or active lifestyle can be measured using a uniform (globally accepted) value called Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA). RDA is measured on a “per-day” basis.

Vitamins Battle:

VitaminRDAMind Lab ProUltimate Brain & Body
Vitamin A800 mcg NA2.500 IU
Vitamin B11.2 mg NA25 mg
Vitamin B21.2 mg NA25 mg
Vitamin B315 mg NA25 mg
Vitamin B55 mg NA30 mg

Vitamin B9400 mcg100 mcg400 mcg

Vitamin C90 mg NA120 mg
Vitamin D20 mcg NA2.000 IU
Vitamin E15 mg NA30 IU
RDA = Recommended Dietary Allowance, NA = Not Applicable (Not included), IU = An International Unit

All in all, vitamins that are available in Mind Lab Pro fall far behind the micronutrient profile of Ultimate Brain & Body, comfortably. The presence of both fat-soluble vitamins (Vit. A, D and E) and water-soluble vitamins (Vit. B and Vit. C) deserve a special mention in this article. The Mind Lab Pro decided to go with the vitamins from the B group which do have some cognitive enhancing properties, but their doses are just a fraction of Ultimate Brain & Body’s. We can clearly see that the Ultimate B&B did something different than the other nootropic brands in the industry, and that is the inclusion of vitamins in their nootropic formula. They focused on providing the whole body, not just the mind, with almost everything it needs so this product is both a multivitamin and a nootropic all in one. We did many nootropic battles and in every battle that included Ultimate B&B its competitors always fell behind in the vitamin section. We like the idea of the newer competitor and hope to see others maybe taking some notes and doing something similar in the future. Of course, not all vitamins from the Brain & Body have an effect on the cognition and memory but they still are a pleasant inclusion because they have a lot of different roles in the body and eventually will provide you the sensation of overall wellbeing and boost you up on a different level.

Furthermore, the Ultimate Brain & Body contains the following micronutrients:
– Zinc
– Manganese
– Chromium
– Sodium and Potassium
– Choline
– Inositol
– Lutein
– Calcium
– Iron
– Iodine
– Magnesium
– Selenium
– Molybdenum
– Copper
– Boron

And they also decided to include various blends that would accompany the vitamins and the minerals from the formula:

– Citrus Bio complex:
Containing Hesperidin, Rutin and Quercetin

– Digestive Enzyme Blend:
Containing Betaine Hydrochloride, Bromelain, Papain, Amylase, Lipase, Cellulase and Protease

– Probiotic Blend:
Containing B. bifidum, L. bulgaricus and L. acidophilus.

– Omega Blend:
Containing the Omega family of fatty acids Omega 3 and Omega 6, Flaxseed, Sunflower oil and Borage Powder

– Green and Whole Food Blend:
Containing the Spirulina, Chlorella, Oat Extract, Apple Pectin, Chlorophyllin and Barley Grass

– Herb Blend:
Contains Echinacea, Ginger, Milk Thistle, Cayenne, Korean Ginseng Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Extract and Goldenseal.

– Vegetable Blend:
Containing Parsley powder, Garlic, Beet Root Powder, Carrot Powder, Asparagus powder, extracts of Broccoli, Cabbage, Brussels Sprouts, Cauliflower and Kale.

– Fruit Blend:
Containing Papaya powder, Grapefruit extract, Apple powder, Peach, Strawberry, Acai, Cranberry, Blueberry, Bilberry extract, Pomegranate extract, Pineapple, Orange and Noni powder

– Mushroom Blend:
Contains Shitake mushrooms, Maitake mushrooms and Reishi mushrooms

Now Ultimate Brain & Body moved on from a multivitamin and nootropic to a magic potion. They included trace minerals that are extremely important for the normal functioning of both body and brain. Every individual mineral has its role in the body and together assist the vitamins and provide a stronger and better effect. Some of them have a direct impact on brain health such as calcium (helps neurons transmit messages), magnesium (increases neuronal capacity directly improving our memory), manganese (by helping nerve impulses travel faster), choline (with its production of a neurotransmitter called Acetylcholine), and boron.

Moving on to the blends, the Tapi Labs team took a great effort to include a lot of ingredients into their blends and make them wholesome and nutritious. Each blend has a different role and provides different benefits. Citrus Bio complex focuses on the enhancement of the immune system and collagen production, Digestive Enzyme Blend is self-explanatory with the accent on gut health, Probiotic Blend provides some good probiotic bacteria which help fight off the bad ones and helps our body maintain a good gut flora, Omega Blend emphasis is on brain health, cardiovascular health and immune system function, Green and Whole Food Blend helps detoxify our body, Vegetable Blend can also aid our immune system and digestion, Fruit Blend is full of antioxidants which in return protect our body from aging and disease and finally the Mushroom Blend which screams BRAIN in 30 different languages, this blend enhances brain function, cures mood disorders and detoxifies our body.

We left out the Herb Blend on purpose because it too contains some nootropic like ingredients which can tell a story of their own. Echinacea, Korean Ginseng Extract and Ginkgo Biloba Extract are all some pretty high-quality nootropics of their own. There are numerous studies that back up the claims of their effect on the brain and it is a surprise that the Ultimate Brain and Body included them in this form. The inclusion of these three herbs further intensifies their nootropic score and effect.

Amino Acids Battle:

Now we’ll evaluate what amino acids do these supplements have in their formula and their possible health benefits.

Amino AcidRDAMind Lab ProUltimate Brain & Body by Tapi LabsUses

Here we can see that both brands put two amino acids in their formula. The Mind Lab Pro decided to go with tyrosine and theanine which are a great option due to their nootropic effect. Theanine is a great amino acid that’s found naturally in green tea and praised for its strong health benefits, not just the nootropic ones. Theanine is a perfect choice to go when you want to relax and put your mind to ease. Its effects on the immune system are diverse, but for its mental benefits its best to pair it up with caffeine. Theanine blocks the negative effects of caffeine and as a result brings out focus and attention up, as well as our mental performance. Without caffeine, its influence on brain functions is low. Acetyl-L-Carnitine is another great amino acid that has some strong enhancing effects on the brain. It can affect neurotransmitter creation and boost their levels. It affects memory the most and helps in diminishing age-related memory loss. This amino acid can also affect our mood and help decrease depression in some individuals. Tyrosine works great if you have any stressful mental tasks where you need that extra boost to help you concentrate and do your best. People who have any thyroid problems need to take extra precautions before taking any tyrosine into their diet because it can interfere with the medication and disrupt your hormones. But that stands for almost any supplement out there, we would always advise talking to your doctor if you have any health conditions and want to implement a supplement into your diet.

Now comes the ultimate battle of nootropics in which we’ll see how well both brands stack up to each other!

This head to head collation shows that both brands have the same number of nootropics in their formula. They decided to stick with the natural nootropics without the use of the synthetic ones. The Mind Lab Pro features somewhat uncommon nootropics that don’t have enough human studies conducted on them, one of them being the Lion’s Mane Mushroom. This particular ingredient only had animal test trials, and all of its effects are solely experienced by animals (lab mice).

Both brands share Phosphatidylserine and Bacopa Monnieri as their common ingredients. Bacopa Monneri and Phosphatidylserine have been evaluated multiple times in human studies and have backed up evidence for their medical properties. Bacopa Monneri shares many similarities as the Rhodiola Rosea and has similar effects. Mind Lab Pro has both of them and ensured their formula has a strong effect on improving mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. The Ultimate Brain & Body also packed up a kick with its combination of St. John’s Wort, Bacopa Monneri and Ginkgo Biloba on mood disorders. All four ingredients are potent antioxidants and help reduce inflammation throughout the body. Phosphatidylserine is another common ingredient between the two brands. It forms an important component of the cell membrane, maintaining the cell membrane fluidity and promoting repair and regeneration. PS is one of the most known memory boosters among all nootropics. It acts as an important insulating agent against external stressors as well. Ultimate Brain and Body decided to put DMAE Bitartrate in their formula which is also a strong nootropic. It enables better neurological processing and has mood-stabilizing effects. It’s known to prevent the onset of depression and brain-fog!

Without further ado the winner!

Winner is Ultimate Brain & Body by Tapi Labs!

Mind Lab Pro has remained the “supplement of choice” with its veteran status and the strict quality control it follows for a long time. Ultimate Brain & Body by Tapi Labs though a newer entrant, beats Mind Lab Pro in almost all the headings that have been discussed above. The inclusion of blends is a novel idea and it really makes the Tapi Labs supplement an “umbrella nootropic” that caters to the central nervous system, and also provides some tangible benefits to the musculoskeletal system, the enzymatic-metabolism system, and many others. In comparison, Mind Lab Pro maintains its focus on nootropics alone, having little ingredient representation, apart from nootropics. We would like to praise their choice of ingredients because they decided to put a little bit of everything in their formula with the main focus being the improvement of cognition and brain function. All 11 ingredients are exclusively put there for their nootropic effect, counting the vitamins and amino acids. On the other hand, Ultimate Brain & Body has more studied nootropics than its counterpart that are proven to bring medical benefits, plus it gets an additional boost with the inclusion of Vitamin B complex, Vitamin D, some trace minerals, and the herb blend. It also contains omega 3 fatty acids that can insulate the brain and neurons, another layer of protection that its competitor does not cater to. The Mind Lab Pro generally looks poor when compared to the Tapi Lab supplement, lacking in the blend, vitamin and mineral fields. Bravo for the Tapi Labs team for their revolutionary all in one formula that we strongly believe will benefit anyone who decides to implement it in their diet. But we would advise consumers to be careful with the intake of the Ultimate Brain & Body. When evaluating their formula and the customer reviews, we saw that many people said that the formula is too strong for them and that they decided to take half the servings of the recommended doses. So it would be probably better that you begin taking smaller doses and slowly increasing over time.

In conclusion, Ultimate Brain & Body by Tapi Labs can be regarded as the newer “nootropic brand of choice”, completely beating Mind Lab Pro in every segment: pricing, ingredients, etc. The inclusion of a BODY segment of supplements along with the BRAIN segment of nootropics makes the Ultimate Brain & Body a must have product!
